With extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village, West Stow is a fascinating and enjoyable day out for all the family, come rain or shine.

Here are a few things you can enjoy on your day:

Guided tours

Please complete our Educational visits form if you are interested in a group guided tour.

(Assistance dogs only in the Anglo-Saxon village)

Please note we are not operating a booking system for individual visitors. However groups need to book in advance.


Opening times

Standard opening hours for the Anglo-Saxon Village and Museum are daily 10am-5pm (last entry 3.30pm in Winter and 4pm in Summer).

Please be aware that dogs on a lead are welcome in the country park but assistance dogs only are permitted in the Anglo-Saxon village due to the presence of livestock.

Parking

  • £2 for up to 2 hours or £3 for over 2 hours.
  • £2 per day for Blue Badge holders.

Annual permits are available for £30, or for £45 you can get an annual permit for West Stow, Nowton Park and Brandon Country Park too. You can apply for an annual permit on the West Suffolk Council website - Car park season tickets page.
