Event details

A chance to volunteer and support the 1st phase of a re-wilding scheme aimed at recreating ancient woodland in the park for visitors and wildlife for years to come!

As part of the sites 1,600 years anniversary since the Anglo-Saxons settled here, West Stow Country Park is planting indigenous trees that would have been present in earlier times.

This new project will not only encourage an understanding of how our ancestors used and revered the woodlands but also provide vital new habitats for wildlife and enhance ecosystems in the park today and for the future.

The planting workshop will be in an area adjacent to the Anglo-Saxon settlement and will provide an opportunity for volunteers to establish this new piece of woodland.
