About West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village & Country Park
One of England’s great archaeological sites, West Stow has extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village surrounded by 125 acres of unspoilt countryside. West Stow Country Park features 125 acres of woods, heathlands, a river and a lake, plus nature trails, walks and an adventure playground.
Visitors to West Stow can explore history and nature, watch a film, dress up as an Anglo-Saxon or say hello to the rare breed pigs and chickens. As part of the annual RingQuest event, you could even meet a Hobbit, among other Lord of the Rings characters!

N.B. West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and Visitor Centre will be closed from Saturday 24 December to Monday 2 January 2017. Usual opening times resume from Tuesday 3 January 2017.
The Country Park will be open every day, and the Café will be open 11am-3pm every day from 24 December to 3 January 2017, apart from Christmas Day. Please phone 01284 729727 before travelling in case of bad weather or staff sickness.
