Archery and longbow courses at West Stow

We offer four engaging archery or longbow courses led by experienced instructors from Arnor Archery.

Our one hour sessions provide a great opportunity to develop practical skills using modern bows or longbows. For a more comprehensive experience, our three hour courses combine these practical skills with the captivating history of archery.

Archery Experience

This one hour session is the introductory part of a series delivered by an Archery GB instructor, based at West Stow.

You can learn all the basics required for modern barebow archery and put your skills to the test in a range of activities with the emphasis on actual shooting.

Introducing the Archery Course

This 3 hour course is the longer and more advanced part delivered by an Archery GB instructor, based at West Stow.

You can learn about the modern take down recurve bow, try out different sizes and learn how to shoot it. A mix of classroom and range activities with all equipment provided, personal tuition and plenty of shooting time.

Longbow Experience

This one hour session is the introductory part of a series delivered by an Archery GB instructor, based at West Stow.

You can try a range of bow weights and learn all the basics required to appreciate the medieval longbow. Put your skills to the test in activities with the emphasis on actual shooting.

Introducing the Longbow Course

This course at West Stow provides an introduction into the fascinating history of the English longbow along with an opportunity to use these iconic items.

You can learn about the medieval longbow and how it was used in a mix of classroom and range activities. All equipment is provided along with personal tuition, a range of bow weights and plenty of shooting time.
