With extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village, West Stow is a fascinating and enjoyable day out for all the family, come rain or shine.

Here are a few things you can enjoy on your day:

Guided tours

Please complete our Educational visits form if you are interested in a group guided tour.

(Assistance dogs only in the Anglo-Saxon Village)

Please note we are not operating a booking system for individual visitors. However groups need to book in advance.


Opening times

Standard opening hours are daily 10am-5pm (last entry 3.30pm in Winter and 4pm in Summer). Please note that from 27 November to 31 January the visitor centre, village, museum and shop will close at 4.30pm with a last entry to the village at 3pm. The park gates lock at 5pm.

Please be aware that dogs on a lead are welcome in the country park but assistance dogs only are permitted in the Anglo-Saxon Village due to the presence of livestock.

Parking

  • £2 for up to 2 hours or £3 for over 2 hours.
  • £2 per day for Blue Badge holders.

Annual permits are available for £30, or for £45 you can get an annual permit for West Stow, Nowton Park and Brandon Country Park too. You can apply for an annual permit on the West Suffolk Council website - Car park season tickets page.
