The Anglo-Saxon Museum is now open again after the temporary closure due to storm damage.

Visitors can now enjoy all our facilities which include the reconstructed Anglo-Saxon Village, archaeology gallery and shop.

Please be aware that from Friday 24 July all visitors must wear face coverings in the visitor centre, shop, museum and archaeology gallery, unless they are exempt according to government guidelines. Thank you for protecting other visitors and our staff.

With extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village, West Stow is a fascinating and enjoyable day out for all the family, come rain or shine. (Assistance dogs only)

Guided tours

Please call 01284 728718 to confirm availability before travelling, additional charges may apply - not available at the moment due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The Anglo-Saxon Village, museum, visitor centre and shop are now open again from 10am to 5pm (last admission 4pm.) Numbers may be restricted due to COVID-19 but there is no pre-booking.

Opening times

Daily 10am-5pm (last entry 3.30pm in winter and 4pm in the summer).

Please be aware that dogs on a lead are welcome in the country park but assistance dogs only are permitted in the Anglo-Saxon Village due to the presence of livestock.

Charges start from £1 for up to an hour or £2 for more than one hour. £1 per day for Blue Badge holders.
Yearly passes are available for £15 online.
