Guided Bat Walk at West Stow Country Park


Discover the nocturnal nightlife of West Stow Country Park this Easter with bat expert, Lindsey Bilston.

On this guided walk, you will explore the twilight world of West Stow Country Park with guide, Lindsey Bilston (of the Norfolk and Norwich Bat Group).

West Stow Country Park is thriving natural landscape of heathland and woodland. Located around the historical site of West Stow Anglo Saxon Village, this is an exciting opportunity to experience the Country Park after hours. As you walk, you will learn about bats and their habitats, and use bat detectors to listen out for and identify any that are present.

Further Information:
  • Meet outside the West Stow visitor centre (What Three Words: w3w.co/reactions.flattery.dive)
  • This is an outdoor event and will take place mainly in the dark. Please wrap up warm and wear sturdy footwear.
  • West Stow Country Park has a variety of terrain, and can be uneven under foot.
  • In the event of extreme weather, the event may be cancelled (participants will be notified in advance where possible)
  • Please do not bring dogs
  • This event is suitable for ages 7 years+ (all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop)
  • Head torches and high vis jackets will be provided.
