Come and experience drum birthing living history demonstrations by Bear Number 9 at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village, and join in with some traditional drumming in the Great Hall.

Our ancestors drummed to celebrate and commemorate in times of transition, sorrow or joy. Join Bear number 9 as they demonstrate the processes of preparing and making sacred drums in the Saxon Village throughout the week.

There will also be an opportunity to get involved with a public drumming circle.

Public drumming sessions in the Great Hall
Daily at 3pm-4pm between Thursday 15 August – Tuesday 20 August (inclusive)

Take part in a group drumming session and see for yourself how the drum touches both heart and mind.
Suitable for all ages and abilities. No experience needed.
